Help the WDBA Break a Guinness Record!

The Waukesha Downtown Business Association has been pre-approved by Guinness World Records Ltd, to attempt a break of the world record for the most people caroling! The current world record is 502 carolers which we feel we can exceed, but not without your help! The WDBA is the group that brings you Friday Night Live, the Farmers Market and other family friendly events, so you can count on this activity to be just as incredible! For more information see www.waukeshasilverbells.com

Our world record attempt will take place at the conclusion of the Christmas Tree Lighting ceremony in Waukesha on Friday 11/22, located at The Rotunda, 235 W Broadway. The tree lighting begins at 6:00PM and ends at 6:35PM, at which time the Guinness record attempt will begin. The record breaking attempt should take about an hour. We should finish by 7:45PM.

The official process of breaking a Guinness World Record requires that we follow very strict counting and performance measures. There will be officials on site, monitoring and verifying our process. We ask that you arrive to the event at 5:30PM on 11/22. The ticket counting will begin at 6:00PM so that when the tree lighting is complete, we will be ready to begin the caroling record breaking attempt.

To expedite the process of registration, please have the attached registration form filled out prior to your arrival at The Rotunda. There will be several “REGISTRATION” tables set up. You can go to any one of them and register your group. A ticket for each singer will be provided for accurate counting purposes.

You may have thought that you’d never be a Guinness World Record holder, BUT YOU CAN BE SOON! Please join us and bring as many people as you can! Be sure to have them fill out the registration form ahead of time. Last minute walk in registrations will be allowed until 6:15PM.
